Success Stories: NVR

Having approached our parenting from a number of different perspectives, NVR provided a new way of looking at things for us. The manner in which the course breaks things down into practical skills and learning alongside others (who have experienced very similar difficulties) proved extremely helpful.

The bonds we have formed with fellow participants have proved invaluable in the months since the course finished. This has included a WhatsApp group and a meeting of our families. The monthly support meetings facilitated by Carolyn and Ingrid (as is the WhatsApp group) have also been immensely helpful. We both feel that the course itself and the support we have received afterwards have improved our coping skills and strategies immensely. Some specific examples of these would be being open with friends and family with what support is helpful, knowing how to care for ourselves and sustaining our relationship and having a greater understanding of our children’s needs.

Carolyn and Ingrid have proven to be enthusiastic, engaging, and on many occasions, appear to have gone beyond what we would have expected in terms of commitment to the group. They always appear well prepared having discussed course content and have always been willing to take feedback with regard to how to improve their approach. In all aspects of providing the course and the continued support from them, we find it impossible to find fault.
